How often are HOA assessments billed?

HOA assessments are paid twice a year — on January 1st and July 1st — and this applies to both the Master Community and the Townhome Community. (Townhome HOA dues are billed only in January.) If you haven't paid the January assessment yet, late fees may be stacking up. On July 1st, check the PS Property Portal to make sure your autopay processed.

Who is responsible for paying assessments and violation fines — the owner or the tenant?

Assessments and violation fines are the sole responsibility of the homeowner on record, not tenants. Make sure your current mailing and email addresses are up to date in the PS Property Portal — especially if you lease your home.

What happens if assessments, fees, or fines go unpaid?

Currently about 10% of our annual budget is tied up in unpaid assessments, violation fees, and late fees — which means less money for future community projects and for maintaining the high standards we all value. Ongoing delinquent accounts are turned over to attorneys and can impact your credit score, result in liens, or even foreclosure on your property.

After a payment is made, your balance in the PS Property Portal only updates after the payment clears (2–3 business days).

Two invoices are sent to townhome owners — one for the Master association and one for the Townhome HOA.

What are the costs for different payment methods?

Credit/debit card payments incur about a 3% fee (roughly $19). E-check payments are free. Prefer to mail a check? Send it to PO Box 65582, Phoenix, AZ 85082, payable to “Homestead Master Community Inc.” (include your invoice coupon).
